Description:

Join us for a fun-filled weekend and discover the joys of camping in your Texas State Parks.

General Program Details

Equipment:  We provide basic camping equipment needed for the weekend (pictured below). You provide sheets, blankets, food and personal items. Download the TOF Welcome Packet for a more detailed list of what we provide and what you should bring. 

Fees:  The cost is $95 per family (up to 6 individuals) which includes all park entry and camping fees.

Meals:  You provide your own meals. Read the TOF Welcome Packet to find camp meal ideas.

Conclusion & Departure:  Texas Outdoor Family camping workshops conclude with borrowed gear returned at or before 11am on Sunday. Your onsite Ranger will provide more details at the event.

Program Policies

Pets:  Pets are not allowed on TOF camping workshops.

Weather and Cancellation:  We recognize that the weather will impact your camping experience. TOF staff will notify you via email and telephone if your event cancels. If canceled, we will add your reservation to our transfer list to be eligible for a future event, pending availability. Due to the state's process for handling funds, refunds cannot be offered.

How to Register:  Check availability and make an online reservation at your convenience. Click on this link to open the online reservations system. You also have the option to call (512) 389-8903 and speak to one of our "Texas Outdoor Family" customer service representatives Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. All reservations must be made by noon on the Thursday prior to the event.
