To preserve and enhance land along the Trinity River and its tributaries as an extraordinary educational, recreational and natural resource. River Legacy Living Science Center is a 12,000-square foot nature center that provides a gateway to the adjacent 1,300-acre River Legacy Parks. Visit the Science Center to explore the native animals you might find in the park, enjoy the interactive exhibits and self-exploration stations, visit the gift shop and take a stroll along the nature trails. The Center also offers free Saturday public programming that includes animal explorations, nature walks, story times and adult workshops; as well as a variety of environmental education classes that includes a Nature School for preschoolers, after-school clubs, home school classes and summer classes. The Center is open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. Free, donations accepted.
