Prairie Keepers
General Information

The Prairie Keepers mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children and adults where unique outdoor experiences support lifelong learning and stewardship.

Our games have been praised in the Native Plant Society of Texas Journal as "stealth learning at its finest."  Prairie Keepers programs introduce teams of hikers to big concepts in science through whimsical, story-driven problem solving adventures.  Honored by the challenge, we designed educational games and hikes for Prairie Fest at Tandy Hills Natural Area from 2010-2015.  (To discover 160 acres of ancient Fort Worth native prairie, click the sidebar map!)

We believe a deepened connection with the natural world is vital and emergent. Through our partnership with the Wildflower School & Research Center, Keller Farmers Market and the Keller Public Library, we also host presentations on sustainable living.  Volunteer with us to lead free hikes and citizen science events in local parks, gardens and neighborhoods.  Learn how through PrairieKeepers.org or Volunteer Match.
