Learn how to make fire as our ancestors once did.
The domestication of fire is perhaps one of the most important cultural breakthroughs for early humans. Join a ranger to learn a bit about the history of fire and how to create fire as our ancestors once did; through primitive method demonstrations including the bow-drill and flint and steel.
Meet: Lost Pines Amphitheater
Note: This program is weather dependent. All park programs are free and open to the public with paid entrance fee ($7 per adult ages 13 and up, children12 and under are always free!).
