Learn about your native blackland prairie and the animals that call it home.

The prairie hike will start at track site #2 at 9am.  The hike will start by crossing the Paluxy River and follow along well traveled prairie trails.  The hike is beginner level and is approximately 4 miles long.

Strollers with large tires are welcome if able/willing to be carried across the river rocks.

Wear good walking/hiking shoes.

Water, sunscreen, and snacks recommended.

Binoculars and magnifying glasses are encouraged for up close study of plants and animals.
