Want to learn how to fish? Interested in catching the big one? Learn the basics and take a shot at landing a whopper with the rangers of Bonham State Park!

When: April 27 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. 

Where: Bonham SP Fishing Pier. 

Expect to: Learn how to bait a hook, cast your line, and other fishing basics! 

What to Bring: Water, sunscreen, and bug spray. Rods, reels, and bait will be available, but feel free to bring your own rig! 

Fish with a Ranger is open to beginners wanting to learn how to fish and to those hoping to catch the big one! Start the day off by taking a few quick casts with our backyard bass rigs and then grab a rod, a reel, some bait, and hit the water!

All programs are free with paid park admission, which is $5 per person 13 years of age and older. Please keep in mind that outdoor programs are subject to cancellation due to weather.
