Description:

Learn campfire basics and hang out with a ranger.

Join the Park Ranger at the Honey Creek Amphitheater and find out how to build a fire you can start with one match. No! Not with gasoline! Learn the elements of fire, 3 types of fuel for a campfire, the types of fire for various camping needs, and…how to be sure your fire is out before you leave your campsite. Leave No Trace principles are emphasized. All ages are welcome to attend. This program may be cancelled because of weather or fire conditions. Call the park office for updated information.
